Meet the Counselor
Our goal is to meet and know EVERY student EVERY year. This will happen by teaching in the classrooms, being present in the hallways, having lunch with students, providing short term 1:1 counseling, group counseling and playing at recess. If you, as a parent, would like us to connect directly with your student, please reach out to us via email or by phone. Our hope is that we will be out of our offices with students daily, so making an appointment will be best. Common conversations with students include, but not limited to, are healthy relationships, attendance concerns, anti-bullying and harassment, classroom behaviors, family concerns, new student connections, receiving resources (food and/or housing, outside therapy/ counseling etc.) or anything that we can to best serve you and your child.
What’s happening @ Grant Elementary
Classroom lessons will start the week of 9/16. We will be visiting each room one or two times weekly to develop our students, SEL skills and/or tools. All classroom lessons will include topics from our Character Strong Curriculum. Please visit the family Strong (sister site) of Character Strong.
